Anchormen Ballot Proposition
By: Melanie Platt

The Anchormen are proposing a change in the U.S. capitol by moving it’s location to San Diego. The Anchormen believe that by shifting the location, it will be more accessible for Asian trade to progress and grow in our country. While easily accessible for trade, the change of location will also be helpful towards a stronger defense against North Korea, and has a better location for more control against illegal immigration. The Anchormen have presented their proposition in a well-written, well-mannered style. It might be confusing as to whether or not moving the capitol will complicate America, or help America.
The Dirty 530 feel as though moving the capitol to San Diego will only add more to our deficit, and complicate our country. There is no actual need to move the capitol, we have plenty of protection on the west coast as is. Our nation accomplishes tons of trade from Asian countries as well and are concerned how much moving the capitol will actually help. Many people are concerned with how the Anchormen plan on finding the funding for this shift of location. Since America is already in debt, the Dirty 530 wonder if now is really the time to change the place of our capitol. Moving the capitol will only add to our deficit, and realistically we do not have the money to support this drastic change of location. Our country is able to trade with Asian countries even without the change of the capitol. This move would affect the jobs and citizens of Washington D.C. This would also create a more crowded condensed San Diego. We do not endorse this change of capitol. We feel as though it will lessen America’s value and financial situation even more than it already is. America is trading successfully with Asian countries already, and is dealing with border patrol fine as is. There is no need to move the capitol.
